DRY RISER TESTING
Dry Risers are installed in small to medium height office blocks and residential flats over 18 metres and below 60 metres in height. They are the fire services means of getting
water up to the required floor in the quickest possible time. They are required to be tested annually with a wet pressure test and given a visual inspection six monthly. Our
dedicated dry riser team and vehicle with onboard 1000 litre tank can be seen working in London and Essex on a daily basis. Most of Firepoint-UK,s dry riser work is in central
and East London but we are happy to travel to all areas.
The dry riser is inspected from top to bottom first for defects and to ensure all deliveries are closed. We then connect our high pressure fire pump to the inlet of the riser and
pressurise the dry riser to the required pressure all to the requirements of BS9990:2006.
While the system is pressurised a thorough inspection of the installation is carried out to ensure there are no leaks or defects to the system.
After the testing has been completed the water pressurising the dry riser is drained back into our onboard tank ready to use for the next dry rising main.
A report of the testing and any findings will be issued and a certicate of testing is provided and should be made available to inspecting authorities.
Tests are carried out by experienced ex-fire service personell and all health and safety disciplines and procedures are strictly adhered to. Call now for a free quotation to
